Ecommerce Assistant

UV Skinz sells peace-of-mind from the sun’s damaging rays. We manufacture UV protective sunwear for all ages and make it a top priority to provide the highest quality, fashionable and affordable UPF 50+ sun protection apparel products on the market. The company was founded after the owner lost her 32-year-old husband to melanoma and was left to raise their three little boys on her own. This gave her the drive and determination to bring products to the market that can help families live sun safe while never forgetting how important it is to LIVE and HAVE FUN outdoors.


During our seventeen-year history we have demonstrated consistently strong growth in sales and company branding and we are in search of people with talent and passion that like teaming up with other highly motivated employees to get the job done, using their own creative genius. We are seeking a full-time person who can take on the role of Ecommerce Assistant for our fast-growth company.


The Ecomm Assistant will report to the IS Manager and can roll up their sleeves and jump in as support to all areas of ecommerce operations and quality assurance of the company’s online presence, provide feedback to the internal teams and work with third party vendors.


The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have a high level of flexibility and commitment, and strong social and communication skills. This person will demonstrate a creative and unique mindset but also have the ability to focus on business metrics and monitor performance to ensure business goals are achieved.

Responsibilities (Including but not limited to)

  • Responsible for routine website and marketplace reviews to ensure accuracy
  • Assist in ongoing maintenance and updates of the product database for all online platforms
  • Coordinating the execution of special ecommerce marketing projects
  • Contributing to content improvement plans on the site
  • Compiling reports identifying key metrics for analysis
  • Troubleshooting basic computer and network connectivity issues
  • Working closely and collaboratively with team members across multiple department on various projects

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience with ecommerce platforms and content management systems (CMS)
  • Experience with Klaviyo or other marketing automation platforms
  • Fluent in social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in marketing, CIS, or related field a plus
  • 2+ years of retail experience a plus
  • Background in retail/fashion a plus
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines and multiple priorities
  • A “figure it out” attitude to achieve goals and find solutions
  • Curiosity and creativeness to always want to learn and grow and think outside the box

  • Positive mindset and good sense of humor mandatory!

Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $20/hour


Schedule: Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM PST. Some flexibility in hours can be considered if needed. 


Ability to commute/relocate: Sonora, CA 95370: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred). 


Physical Setting: Office


Experience: 

- 2+ years of retail experience a plus

- Experience with Ecommerce Platforms

- Experience with content management systems

- Experience with Excel
