Measuring Tips

Here are some tips to help you order the correct size. If you don't have a measuring tape, no problem! Use a piece of string or ribbon to mark the measurement and then hold it alongside a ruler or yard stick to find the measurement.

Head Circumference

Measure around your head just above your ears angling slightly up across your forehead to get your full head circumference.

Bust

Lift your arms slightly and measure around your body (without a shirt is best), crossing over the fullest part of your chest.

Chest

Lift your arms slightly and measure around your body (without a shirt is best), crossing over the fullest part of your chest.

Waist

Measure around the natural waist, where you normally wear your pants, shorts or skirt.

Waist

Measure around your waist where your pants or shorts usually fall.

Hip

Stand with your heels together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Seat

Stand with your heels together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Arm Length

With your arm bent at 90 degrees, place your hand on your hip. Measure from the back of your neck to your shoulder, elbow, and wrist.

Foot Length

Lay a ruler or yardstick on the ground and stand with your heel positioned at “zero”. Measure the full foot length from heel to the end of your big toe. If you have a second ruler, its handy to use the second ruler to make sure your heel aligns perpendicular to “zero” and big toe aligns perpendicular to the final foot length measurement

Love it!!

Bought the hat to keep my scalp and face out of the sun. I love the wire brim so I can move it to cover different areas. I wear it on walks and it stays in rather well. On breezy days, it will lift off, but an adjustment to the brim helps to mitigate that. I love how stylish it is and it matches my walking clothes. Cannot wait to try it at the beach!

Women's dot hat

I love this hat. I feel I have lots of protection all around with its nice wide brim. Storing it is easy. It took me a minute to straighten the brim out after storing, as well as figuring out how to reduce the size a bit, but I found it under the inside head band. I recommend this hat for someone wanting a wider brim.

Very pretty but flimsy—brim blows up easily in slight wind

As the title says, it is very pretty, nice sized brim, but flimsy. The brim blows upwards so easily and the hat almost blows off from just the very slightest wind (and I did adjust the hat to be as tight as possible). Even if there was a chin strap, the brim is just too flimsy to give constant sun protection with it flopping up all the time with just a slight breeze.

The hat is lovely. Good for windy humid Hawaiian weather. However it still looks wrinkled around the brim and top after wearing it a week in hot humid weather. Your photos don’t reflect the wrinkled look. I like the way the brim can be folded up and down. The color texture and polka dots reflect good quality. Just wish the hat didn’t look wrinkled

Terrific Hat!

These hats are wonderful!! They are very light weight and, more importantly for me, they can be adjusted with the Velcro strap inside. I have a very small head (20") and have a difficult time finding hats that fit. The brim is almost 5" wide all around and gives great protection from the sun in hot, humid south Florida. If at some point, I do feel the need for a chin strap, that would be easy to attach. But the hat stays on my head quite well, due to the Velcro closure. The folks in Customer Service answered my questions quickly and helped me understand the difference between two different styles I chose. I love these hats - I bought two. The White with black dots and the Aqua with white dots. They look cute and even my husband likes them on me! Thank you, UV Skinz!
